Sailing Canoe Seat
Category: Sailing canoe, canoe, cruiser, seat, tether
Problem: In line with the overall objective to be able to sit or lie somewhat prone in the stern of the canoe while I was sailing, initially I had my backside on the throw cushion leaning up against the stern seat, with my life jacket creating the padding. I thought it might be better to have a little more support.
Action: As with my Sunfish, I purchased a plastic seat that might go on a fishing boat and set it in for me to use for added comfort and support. Because it is not fastened to anything, it can be moved fore and aft, changing the tilt depending on the comfort level that I required at the time.
Result: It worked great!
