Hull Suction Handhold Float And
Category: Boats, hull, cleaning, suction grip, handle, sailboat
Problem: I purchased a grip handle, with a suction cup on either end, which is used to hold oneself close to the hull of a boat while cleaning it. The first time I used it I stuck it to the hull and was cleaning away. When I was going to move, I took it off the hull, and it slipped out of my hand and began to sink.
Action: I immediately grabbed it out of the water, cut a piece of water pipe foam insulation, and tied a string to the insulation and then connected it to the suction handle.
Result: It works great! It hasn’t sunk yet.
