Pontoon Rail Fender Holder
Category: Pontoon boat, fender, clip, fender holder, fender tie, boat
Problem: I bought a pontoon boat and wanted to suspend fenders from the sides, however, the fender attaching devices I had were made to slip over lifelines on sailboats.so I thought that perhaps I could devise something that would hold the fender in place and then be easily removed when the fender was no longer needed.
Action: I decided that a section of PVC pipe with a slot cut out and some holes to loop the line in and out for easy adjustment might do the trick. So I made several, finally arriving at the optimal opening for the slot, so it clamped onto the rail relatively easily but held and then was relatively easy to remove.
Result: It works great!
