Mower Battery Terminal Wing Nuts
Category: Lawn mower, riding lawn mower, lawn tractor, garden tractor, battery terminals, battery electrical connections, yard
Problem: The battery is connected to the wires in the mower using nuts and bolts, which means when you want to change the battery out, or disconnect the negative terminal when storing for the winter, you need a wrench, which may not be handy. Also the seat for the head of the bolt gets worn and two wrenches are required.
Action: Replace the nuts on the battery terminals with stainless steel wing nuts so they can be finger tightened or tightened using pliers or a screwdriver – a wrench isn’t needed. The stainless steel does not rust.
Result: It works great!
