Adding A Soft Pad To The Handle Of A CVS Grabber
Category: Grabber, household, tool, shop, workshop, yard
Problem: I was in CVS and I noticed on the wall a display of their grabbers. When I looked at it I noticed it had several interesting features that my other grabber did not have. Since I needed one for my shop, I decided to buy it. When I went to use it, the curved plastic at the top of the handle had a curve that was opposite the curve of my hand. This resulted in quite a pressure point, making the grabber very uncomfortable to use. After trying different hand positions and so on, I thought I would take corrective action.
Action: I cut a piece of foam from an old foam float that I had, so it would fit around the handle and be positioned between my hand and the curved hand support. To keep the foam in place, I attached it with some Goop.
Result: It works great!
