Shop Vac Nozzle Hanger
Category: Shop vac, nozzle holder, shop vac nozzle, nozzle storage, workshop
Problem: As I have mentioned numerous times, I am tall – 6’-4”, and it is painful for me to reach down and pick things up, and that’s where the shop vac nozzle usually resided, on the floor. Plus, I like to have it handy. As I have mentioned before, about supporting the shop vac tube with counterweights, I also brought the power cord up to a power strip switch on my shop wall next to the workbench, so when I want to use the shop vac, I reach over, grab the nozzle from its location, turn on the switch, and it’s all right there.
Action: I wrapped a rope around near the end of the nozzle, and secured it with duct tape. It has a loop on the end, which I was able to feed over a hook near the workbench.
Result: It works great!
Additional Thoughts: By having the longer hose supported by counterweights, and the nozzle and so on off the floor, number one, the shop is a lot safer – I am not tripping over it, and I am not stepping on it and crushing the hose or the nozzle.
