Problem: I have a number of bar clamps in my shop and sometimes when I am adjusting them or moving them around, the movable portion will inadvertently slip off the end of the bar. Also, I wanted to store these hanging on a wall, and it really wasn’t easy to do because they would shift around when hung from the fixed end.
Action: To prevent the unwanted separation, I drilled a hole in the end of the bar big enough to accommodate a small carabiner, that I then used to keep the sliding part from coming off, and also it made it more convenient to hang the clamp in different locations.
Result: It works great!
