Fruit Bowl Drain Insert

Problem: I enjoy grapes and like to take a small bunch out of the sack that they come in, put them in a bowl, rinse them off, drain most of the water out, and proceed to eat them. However, as the water drains off the grapes and down the side of the bowl, the grapes in the bottom of the bowl are swimming in water. I would prefer that they drain and be dry.
Action: I thought if there was a dome like structure that I could put in the bowl, the grapes would sit on top and the water would run off, down into the bottom of the bowl, leaving the grapes high and dry. I searched through my various odds and ends, and found the plastic face of a temperature gauge that has long since failed. It was just right. It had a dome on the surface that was raised about ¾” from the edge. I put the dome in the bowl, put the grapes on top, rinsed the grapes, tipped the water out of the bowl, and proceeded to enjoy my grapes, even as they were draining. My last grape was dry.
