Food Thermometer Case Magnetic Attachment
Category: Household, kitchen, microwave
Problem: I never know the temperature of something coming out of the microwave and so I wanted to have my food thermometer close by. The other problem is it was difficult for me to see the temperature that I wanted the food to cool to before I ate it, which is 120 degrees.
Action: Instead of taking it out of a drawer each time, I decided to attach magnets to the case and stick it on the side of the microwave so it was always there when I needed it. For the purpose of identifying the preferred temperature, I added, with some tape, a marker on the dial of the thermometer to indicate that position easily.
Result: It is right there, handy, and has worked great.
Additional Thoughts: Cost: $3.00 for sticky magnets
Current status: In use.
Since it was originally done: Of course it made sense to have the pot holders handy as well as you can see.
