File Cabinet Tray
Category: File cabinet, storage space, shelf, office
Problem: I have a file cabinet that I use for storage for things other than files, because the drawers extend all the way out and have a large capacity for easy access to many things. However, if I am storing something that only uses a portion of the total height of the drawer, the other space is wasted.
Action: I took a serving tray with handles and sides, and added rails on the bottom that fit on the inside of the sides of the file cabinet drawer, in effect creating another layer that could be easily removed when I wanted to get to the items in the bottom of the drawer.
Result: It worked great!
