Letter Holder With Removable Covered Spike
Category: Letter holder, document holder, bill holder, receipt holder, storage, office
Problem: For years people used a nail or a spike on their desk to hold papers in place. Some even have a shield that comes over the top so people can’t inadvertently lean on top of the spike. However, when one wants to remove the papers from the spike, they all have to come off before the spike can be reused.
Action: To be able to keep the papers together, say one month’s worth of papers, so they could be processed at some later date, without taking them off the spike and having to keep them together some other way, I created the spike that was removable. All one had to do was remove the spike – all the papers would remain together – insert a new spike, and keep on with business.
Result: It works great!
Additional Thoughts: A next modification would be to have a loop near the bottom of the spike so that when it was removed it could be hung on something with all the papers still attached. When idea was conceived: 10/7/2011
