Magnetic Cord Holders
Category: Cord organization, computers, office, bedroom, kitchen
Problem: I have some cords that I connect to my laptop computer, the printer cord and the power cord. When I disconnect the cords, they tend to fall behind the desk. I don’t want to put tape on the desk or fasten anything to the desk to hold them. Plus, I’d like them out of the way so I can use the desk for other things when my portable computer is not being used on the desk.
Action: I had some small magnets that had a hole in the center. I fastened two of them to each cord, about a foot or so from the connecting point. To keep them from falling behind the desk, I found a tin cover from a small box that they could sit in and stick to when not in use, and also I could weigh down the tin with a pencil holder or some other things. The cords now don’t fall behind the desk. They are largely out of the way until I want to use them.
Result: It works great!
