Pill Box Top Holder
Category: Pill box, lock, medicine bottle, dosing, health
Problem: I bought a circular pill box which is very convenient to carry pills in when I traveled. However, the snap closures on the box sometimes came loose.
Action: For this particular pill box, I thought that a round piece of plastic with an elastic over the top of the pillbox openings would hold them in place. I fabricated one for a trial.
Result: It worked pretty well, and functioned as designed because with the elastic I could move it aside and open the compartment. However, the way it was made was clunky, and even more sad was the fact that I had many more pills to take several times a day, so one pill box for a day no longer met my needs.
When idea was conceived: 5/17/2010
How much time it took to develop: 1 hour
How much money it took to develop: None
Current status: Not in use.
Since it was originally done: I have since purchased a pill box that has a positive closing and locking mechanism for travel. However it is a pain to open so for daily use at home, I use a regular smap close box.
