CPAP Remote Switch

Problem: I am on my third CPAP machine and each one has additional features, but the one I have does not have a remote on/off switch. This means that when I want to get up in the middle of the night and turn the machine off, I have to reach over to the side of the bed and fumble around for the switch to turn it off. And then when I get back into bed, I have to find the switch and turn it on.
Action: I thought that maybe one of the remote switches that are placed in the connection of a device to the wall socket would work, so I purchased one. It turns the machine on and off, when the machine has been set in the on position. I initially suspended the small remote about a foot down from the mask, on the breathing tube, so it was always right there to be easily accessed. When it is in that location, it does not seem to bother me when I am sleeping.
Result: It works great!
Additional Thoughts: I did pass this information on to my sleep physician in case others had similar difficulties. I understand that there are some machines that stop when the mask is removed and then begin again when someone starts breathing, or there are others that may have remotes that come with them.
